Blijf op de hoogte en volg Merel

Today was the last day of our internship, we filled some bags with hay and straw mucked out some stables, the usual. Today however was a bit different, a n instructor came from Devon to discuss with the team how to make caring for donkeys more efficient. Everything he said was logical and interesting but he was very repetitive. Combine that with a sleep deprived Merel and you get someone who is fighting to stay awake. At the end of the working day we gave some typical Dutch ‘stroopwafels’ as a thank you and goodbye present and took some pictures of the whole group. That afternoon Fabienne wanted to take a walk to see more of the surroundings, we took a lot of pictures of the surroundings and also of the bull belonging to the Bull I’th’ Thorn Inn we were staying at. That evening we had to print our boarding passes for the trip home. There were some difficulties but with the help of Fabiennes mom and Jane we succeeded.
