This morning we didn’t have to get up very late, it was our first day at the internship so we were allowed to arrive later. We had some toast for breakfast and went on our way to the Donkey Sanctuary, which was less than a five minute walk from the B&B. As we arrived we didn’t see anyone. There were more buildings and we knocked on each door but we got no response. We called Chris, the head of this establishment, and apparently they were having their tea time (their break). We got a tour and were taught how to groom the donkeys. We groomed Arnie the Poitou donkey, we did that with the two of us because he was very hairy. We got to scoop up poop, with special tools (thank god) so that we didn’t have to touch it. I was happy when I heard it was once again tea time, tea time was held in a room with a good heater. I’m more a summer person and it was even colder in England than it was in the Netherlands. Later in the day it even snowed a bit. We were done at quarter past five, we bought dinner in the B&B (only breakfast was included), watched another film and went to bed.
